Innkeeping today requires that we continually adapt to changes in our markets. Not only must we contend with the cyclical ups and downs in the economy, but we must also keep abreast of increasingly rapid technological innovations that affect how we operate. Add to that the need to be aware of ever-younger generations who will become our future guests, and how we will attract them to stay at our inns.
The BBIM Spring Conference will feature workshops that will help teach us to adapt to these changes, as well as to continue to be the best innkeepers we can. Join us in beautiful, historic Saint Charles for three days of networking, learning, sharing and—most importantly - time to enjoy yourself away from your inn!
LOCATION
Saint Charles, circa 1769, offers visitors the largest designated National Historic District within Missouri with 88 restored buildings dating from the early 19th century, which are home to over 125 specialty shops and 30 restaurants. The Art Foundry Centre is one of the newest attractions at the north end of Main Street and offers artists and art exhibits for your viewing pleasure. At the southern end of Main Street, you will find the St. Charles Ameristar Casino and our newest hotel. You many want to take the time to visit the Lewis & Clark Boathouse and Nature Center, located along the Missouri river or Missouri's First State Capitol. A short drive south along Highway 94 will take you to the Missouri River Wine Country, the Daniel Boone Home and breathtaking river bluff views.
